Black Creek
small town, big cheese
Black Creek isn't big enough to be considered a city, but it's a fairly big town. They have their own police force, general store, plenty of restaurants, bars, and even a dollar store. Ten miles from another town, which is just as dinky (but is where all residence of Black Creek attend school), and a good half an hour drive to an actual city. People mostly pass through and don't even visit their one and only landmark; The Big Cheese.
The people of Black Creek know about the Werewolves. They have for many generations and have believed that they are a sort of security to the small town. An old town with roots, not too many new people come in and when they do it's usually at Arcadia Manor. The town is very close knit, in a sense, and ban together to make sure that their 'secrets' are not revealed.
Black Creek is known for it's Goat Cheese and have a huge statue in the center of town commemorating this history. The BCGC (Black Creek Goat Cheese) is a huge goat farm and warehouse, thus making almost all towns folk a contributing community. At one time there was a vote to rename the town in memorial of their cheesy history. Obviously Colorado is not a place typically associated with cheese, but the town holds a prestigious yearly Festival of Cheeses that many from all over the states come to.
The Tremane Family has lived in Black Creek for over a hundred years. They have owned a various portion of the land and have had a serious role in the towns upbringing, thus giving them a respected allowance from the town and much privacy. They are respected members, although highly gossiped about as they are the only 'socialites' the town has.
Notable Black Creek Residents:
- Sheriff Phillip Phelps is a 45 year old man who chews tobacco and has three ex-wives and one teenage son, Phillip Jr.
- Portia Harper is the owner of BCGC. She is a mangy old woman who has a wooden cane that people imagine she beats children with.
